Founded in 1945 as a Japanese-American congregation, OCC has grown into a multi-ethnic, multi-generational family united by grace, truth, and love.
Ontario Community Church began in 1945 as a gathering place for Japanese-American families in Eastern Oregon. Through decades of change, growth, and challenge, we've remained anchored to our founding purpose: sharing the love and hope of Christ with everyone.
Today, our congregation reflects the beautiful diversity of our region -- many ethnicities, backgrounds, and generations worshiping together. We honor where we came from while staying focused on where God is calling us.

We believe we can transform our community and world by sharing the love and hope of Christ.— Ontario Community Church Mission

Our mission is to Encourage, Equip, and Engage lives for Christ.
At OCC, we don't just believe in transformation -- we have a clear process for how it happens. The 3E Pathway shapes everything we do, from Sunday morning to everyday life.
We encourage love for God and others, grounded in Biblical truth and Christ's teachings -- through intentional worship and a welcoming culture.
We equip people on a path of spiritual growth through studying scripture, community life, small groups, church membership, and discovering spiritual gifting.
We inspire congregants to reach their God-given potential by serving others and sharing their faith -- in the church, the community, and beyond.
Whether through attending services, volunteering your time, or sharing your personal journey -- your involvement makes a difference.

At OCC, prayer is our lifeline -- not a formality. We believe it is the foundation of our worship, decisions, relationships, and outreach. "Pray without ceasing." -- 1 Thessalonians 5:17
Bringing our personal needs and requests to God with faith. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation present your requests to God." -- Philippians 4:6
Adoring God for who He is, not only for what He does. Praise shifts our focus from our circumstances to God's greatness.
Praying on behalf of others -- family, friends, the church, and our community. "Pray for one another, that you may be healed." -- James 5:16
Coming to God honestly, acknowledging our failures and receiving His grace. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us." -- 1 John 1:9
Expressing gratitude to God for His faithfulness and provision in all circumstances, not just the good ones.
Being still before God and allowing the Holy Spirit to speak. Sometimes the most powerful prayer is quiet openness.
Our pastoral team and congregation pray regularly for submitted requests. Your email will open pre-filled -- just hit send.
